Whether you are looking for a one-off reflexology treatment to aid relaxation or to start a course of treatments for a more chronic issue, I can’t wait to meet you to discuss your aims and learn more about how I can help you.
I have always worked in the healthcare sector, starting out at the tender age of 18 as a support worker for adults with disabilities. I went on to train as a pediatric and learning disabilities nurse and worked for several years in a home for kids with special needs (a super fun job involving frequent dressing up, day trips to the zoo and messing around in ball pits). Feeling like my professional journey was not yet finished, I applied to medical school in Leicester, UK and after four loooooong years, graduated with a medical degree. Knowing that my strength was in communicating and connecting with patients on an individual basis, I then trained as a General Practitioner, and worked for a further six years within the National Health Service, becoming a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Along the way, the stresses of working as a junior doctor (hello, 84 hour work weeks with no time for meal or loo breaks) took their toll and I became interested in more holistic modes of healing and treatment. Having been vicariously immersed in the world of CAM (complementary and alternative medicine) via my partner, Mel, I felt drawn to reflexology as an intriguing and ancient healing modality and I opted to study for a Level 5 diploma in clinical reflexology from Jubilee College, Nottingham, UK in my spare time. This Mastership in reflexology is the most advanced level of training available in the UK and took a year to complete. Throughout my training and beyond, I have treated many people and achieved great results in managing common conditions such as stress, insomnia, digestive issues and chronic pain.
In 2016 we immigrated to the US. I have chosen not to sit my medical boards and work here as a licensed doctor but rather to focus my energies on developing my reflexology practice within the stunning and inspiring setting of Harbor Integrative Health.
Connecting with You
I am drawn to connecting with people on a one-to-one level and am always curious to hear people’s stories and find out about them on a human level. I am always inspired at how positive the ancient principles underpinning reflexology are, and have seen first-hand the extraordinary results it can achieve for people who suffer from the physical and emotional stresses and strains of everyday life, producing feelings of well-being and optimism.
I feel proud and blessed to call beautiful Bristol, Rhode Island, home. I live with my wife, Mel and our two adorable (in my biased opinion) furry kids, Abby and Lester. In my spare time I enjoy yoga, art and design, travel and guiltily watching Bachelor and Bachelorette re-runs.
I am excited to meet you and learn more about you and what makes you tick. Through reflexology, I can help you to relax and heal, find balance and live as healthfully and positively as possible. Contact me today for an informal chat and to find out how I can help you.
